Itinerary Details

Day 1: Arrival in Darjeeling

Upon arrival at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra (IXB) Airport, you will be received by our representative and transferred to Darjeeling. After check-in at the hotel, spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Early morning, begin your city tour with a visit to Tiger Hill for a stunning sunrise view. Continue to Ghoom Monastery, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park (closed on Thursdays), Tenzing Rock, Tea Gardens (outer view), Peace Pagoda, Japanese Temple, and Ropeway (tickets at your own cost). Later, return to the hotel. In the evening, explore Mall Road for shopping and leisure. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

After breakfast, proceed for a day trip to Mirik, a beautiful hill destination situated at an altitude of 5,800 ft. Visit the scenic Sumendu Lake (Mirik Lake), where you can enjoy boating at your own expense. On the return journey, stop at Pasupati Market near the Nepal border for shopping (vehicle access up to the Indian side). Return to Darjeeling by evening. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

After breakfast, drive to Gangtok. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. The rest of the day is free for leisure or optional shopping. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

After breakfast, explore the highlights of Gangtok including Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Enchey Monastery, Flower Exhibition Centre, Handicraft Centre, Banjhakri Waterfalls, Do-Drul Chorten, and the Institute of Tibetology. Return to the hotel in the afternoon. Evening is free for shopping or relaxation. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

In the morning, set out for a half-day trip to Tsomgo Lake, located at an altitude of 12,400 ft and about 32 km from Gangtok. The lake is nearly 1 km long and is considered sacred by locals. Continue to Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir (New), around 12 km further ahead. Return to the hotel in the afternoon. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra (IXB) Airport for your onward journey.
